Responsibilities
- Knowledge of Medicare/insurance reimbursement issues and regulations to include coverage criteria.
- Demonstrated organizational skills within a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Completes work with accuracy and within assigned time frames.
- Requires minimal supervision and is self-directed.
- Adheres to company infection control and safety policies, including education, reporting and practice implementation specific to job position.
- Develops cooperation and collaborative work efforts that generally benefit all involved parties.
- Demonstrates the initiative to meet the needs of the organization by assisting co-workers when workload permits.
- Adheres to policies and procedures and is flexible to changes in duties and responsibilities.
- Possesses strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of administrative experience.
- Reliable internet service and ability to work from home with minimal disruption to the workday.
Preferred
- Two years of administrative experience in a healthcare environment.
- Home health or Hospice intake experience.
- Homecare Homebase application experience.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite applications for document creation, data entry and email communication. Ability to navigate dual monitors, use desktop shortcuts and participate in video-conferencing.
