The anesthesia technician serves as an integral member of the anesthesia patient care team. She/he assists the licensed anesthesia providers in various settings, performing duties under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider and /or Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- This position provides support for surgical/procedural cases by assisting in the preparation and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
- The anesthesia tech performs first level maintenance on anesthesia equipment.
- Cleans, disinfects, sends for sterilization, stocks, orders and maintains the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- The position performs as an unlicensed, trained, assistive person and completes technical duties as they pertain to anesthesia support.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- ACLS/PALS preferred National certification as CER.A.T. or CER.A.T.T. from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians preferred
- BLS required upon hire
- 1 year Prior experience in an ambulatory or acute care hospital in Surgical or Perioperative Services
